On Monday our 12’s Rugby League team participated in the Syd West Gala Day / selection trials. All in all we had a great day, with plenty of heart shown by all our players.

Our first game against Hawkesbury resulted in a win  18-6 and our second game against Ridges resulted in a draw 6-all. We finished the top of our pool and 3^rd overall.

This took us through to the semi-final against a strong Mt Druitt team which resulted in a well deserved draw. As there is no extra time with these games, we were successful in a win, as we were the first try scorers.

The grand final saw us up against another strong Penrith/ Blue Mountains team. With a lot of grit and determination, we also drew this game 24-all. Unfortunately, they had to declare a winner which went to Penrith / Blue Mountains as they were first try scorers. However, heads were held high and we viewed it as a win regardless.

A special mention to Sonny (Bennett Rd), Caleb (St Clair) and Levi (JEPS) from our 11’s team for stepping in extremely last minute Friday afternoon, to make sure we had a complete team !

We had 4 players selected to attend the Syd West camp during the holidays, and we will keep you updated if they are successful in making the Sydney West team. Congratulations goes to:
